Shield is the episode that Carter/Hawk briefs Lois on the story of of KUFU (Carter/Hawk) A prince that is doomed or cursed to re-live his life over and over to meet the woman who is his true love, only to both die in every life and have to start over. at the first of their lives, they never remember the past, but slowly remember as they get closer to death. some life times they meet each other early, some life times they meet at the end.
Hawk's wife was already dead. Hawk felt his calling that tells him he is about to move on to the next life, really soon.
Hawk died a couple episodes later and assured clark it was time.

Chloe has a son.

Writing about the Finale is easier for me so here it goes:

What can i say about a Show that started of with Tom Welling saying "and now the Series Finale of Smallville" So many shows just get cancelled and never get to wrap up the story lines. Smallville had that chance and that is exactly what they did.

Here is some of mt favorite and not so favorite moments:

Lois reads Clark`s nuptials. The music ans the lighting on Erica`s face was perfect.
The cemetery scene with Clark and his dad.What a great way to bring back John Schneider. I have always loved the interaction between the 2 of them.
The door scene was an unusual shot, i liked the revolving door effect. Great acting on Erica`s part. The emotions seemed very real.
Lois walking into the chapel and not seeing Clark at the altar. Her frantic look around the chapel and then the "Hand scene"-so perfect and so Smallville.
The lighting made everybody look absolutely wonderful.We got to hear the nuptials a 2nd time in a unique way. Best almost wedding i have ever seen.
Thank you lighting department and camera crew for incredible close-ups.
Chloe got to save her friend one last time,the fight scene between Clark and Oliver and the slow motion where awesome.
When Clark followed his dad into the loft it took me back to the beginning of Smallville.When young Clark used to talk to his dad about his problems.Nice acting from Tom Welling,making his voice sound like a scarred teenager seeking advice from his father.
All 3 of them hugging in the barn was a great moment.
Lionel Luthor gave me the creeps the way he touched Tess.But feisty Tess went Ninja and got her revenge.John Glover and Cassidy Freeman where both awesome in that scene.
It was great to see Lex back.I loved the conversation between the 2 of them. One of my favorite lines from the Finale " I am sorry i couldn`t save you Lex ".
I was happy to see the Green Arrow one last time.
Darkseid taking over Lionel`s body and the voice i didn`t care for at all.
But for a second we got to see Clark fly Superman style.
The montage of Clarks past 10 years was a wonderful way to say goodbye. It showed how far Smallville has come in the past decade. The boy turning into a confident young man knowing what his destiny is.
I liked the fact that Tess ended up protecting Clark by wiping out Lex~s memory.Too bad she had to die.
Jor-El and Kal-El exepting each other and Jonathan Kent handing Clark the suit. I was having chills at that moment, what a wonderful scene.
Clark changing in mid flight, even though you can`t see much the imagination does the rest. Clark saving the Plane such a great Superman moment.
I was glad to see Aaron Ashmore playing Jimmy`s little brother.
Beautiful scene between Lois and Clark on the stairs.Then the Superman music started what an ending to an amazing 10 years run.
Was i disappointed not to see Tom Welling in the suit? Sure but for some reason it didn`t happen. I didn`t care for the CGI Superman. Iwould have been satisfied with just the little bit we saw of the cape.
All lose ends got tied up, it was an amazing Finale a sendoff Smallville style.
